U18 European Championship: the Finals day

After a little tour in the shopping center next to the Arena, it was about time to follow the relegation round as a decisive game for relegation was ahead. Sweden faced Ukraine in a Final for the last remaining spot on the highest level of U18 European Basketball.

The second day in Lithuania started with some sight-seeing in the Old Town and the first decision of the event came when Germany managed to dominate Sweden and avoid relegation. On the other hand, Bulgaria is sure about their future: Division B.

Three young Latvians for the future

During the recent Euroleague Qualification Round, BK Ventspils made a first apparition in the major continental competition and played against Benetton Treviso. Despite being eliminated, it was a good occasion for me to check out the talented 1989 generation from Latvia as the two leaders played with Ventspils and did quite a nice job.
