This weekend, the BEKO Super-Cup is being held in Bamberg. Germany, Lithuania, Turkey and Croatia prepare the upcoming World Championship. Similar to last summer, the German National Team features a large number of interesting prospects like Tibor Pleiss, Elias Harris or Robin Benzing. The German website spox.com talked to the Oklahoma Thunder draftee and also quoted the German head coach on the development of their “super-talents”.

To start our review on the most interesting players of the 2010 European Championship in Vilnius, we attack with the guards of the top 8 teams of the competition. I was not able to follow other team than the Quarter-Final and the relegation teams, the report will only include prospect issued from these 12 nations. I am sorry for the players from Slovenia, Turkey, Spain and Italy but the schedule did not allow me to scout any of your games.

After a little tour in the shopping center next to the Arena, it was about time to follow the relegation round as a decisive game for relegation was ahead. Sweden faced Ukraine in a Final for the last remaining spot on the highest level of U18 European Basketball.

The second day in Lithuania started with some sight-seeing in the Old Town and the first decision of the event came when Germany managed to dominate Sweden and avoid relegation. On the other hand, Bulgaria is sure about their future: Division B.

After the huge number of College coaches present at the U17 World Championship in Hamburg, it was a matter of time before the first information leaked out about potential European names heading to College. Next to the interest generated by Mateusz Ponitka from Poland, we heard that Nemanja Bezbradica was on the list of several major Colleges.
