Rho Tournament 2011: Teams announced

The organizers of the Rho International Tournament have sent us the names of the participants for the 2011 edition that will be played in Italy from the 26th April to 1st May 2011. The tournament will be played only with U16 teams next year which means that only players born in 1995 or younger are eligible.

EuroCup 2010/2011: Players to follow

Today starts the EuroCup Regular season with three Live games that can be watched online on Eurosport. The evening starts at 19h00 CET with the game between Anwil Wloclawek and ALBA Berlin. At 20h15 CET, the match between ASVEL and BG Göttingen is a lot more interesting as the French team features some interesting young players. Finally, at 20h45 CET, you can follow the game between Estudiantes Madrid and PAOK Saloniki LIVE.

Here we go for a quick look at all the players to follow in the 2010/2011 edition of the 2nd highest club competition in European Basketball.

Rannar Raap–the youngest top scorer in Europe

When going over the scorer rankings in Europe, you mostly see either US-born or other experienced players at the top. Not so in Estonia were the local EMKL league is having the youngest top scorer of a first division in Europe with Rannar Raap. The 1992 born player from Parnu currently averages 19.9ppg after 8 games and leads his extremely young team (the oldest player being born in 1987) to a 2-6 record. [Read more →]

(by Luka Bassin) – When Blaž Mahkovic scored 23 points in just 23 minutes on the court in 2nd round of Slovenian Telemach league against Helios Domžale two weeks ago and put some attention on himself, many experts did not believe that there is a player in Slovenia who is 20-year-old and it is not well known.
