    there are a few more.

    stefan nastic to stanford, haukur palsson to maryland, enes kanter to kentucky, duje dukan to wisconsin, marin kukoc to penn, gylvidas birutas to rutgers, martins abele to radford, sebastian koch to elon, another serb playing HS ball to George Washington (do not remember his name right now).

    there are also several players considering ncaa school: thomas laerke( and i guess marko petrovic) from Findlay Prep, Lithuania’s Dominykas Milka from Christ the King, Jarelle Reischel, a former german U16 international who is playing HS ball in the US (his dad’s american)…

    alex dragicevich, who has committed to Notre Dame, is american but could get a serbian passport.

    there are many other players considering playing college basketball next season, but these are some of the most relevant.

    alright, all those kids i’ve said are not europe-based. just europeans, my bad.

  • 3 Christophe // Mar 30, 2010 at 6:36 am

    @juan cobos, thanks a lot for the comments. I wanted to put up a list of Europeans in the US, but I did not have the time yet.

  • 4 Christophe // Mar 30, 2010 at 6:40 am

    Jarelle Reischel is from the 2011 Class and gets interest from at least Georgetown, Penn State, Maryland, St. John’s, Providence, Kansas and Temple

  • 5 albiongate // Mar 30, 2010 at 8:38 pm

    “another serb playing HS ball to George Washington (do not remember his name right now). ”

    Nemanja Mikic.

  • 6 Christophe // Mar 31, 2010 at 6:33 am

    about other Europeans in the US, Marko Petrovic (nephew of…) gets some interest from University of San Francisco as I heard

  • 7 juan cobos // Mar 31, 2010 at 3:38 pm

    thanks. I did not know about that. But it makes sense. USF is looking to grow with european players. They’re not a big time program, so they have to get players differently.

    I also know Laerke came to the US through the University of Idaho staff this year…

  • 8 Christophe // Mar 31, 2010 at 5:35 pm

    @all
    I have added the US based players too now as you can see. if you have additional names of players that have committed or are being recruited, feel free to post them here in the comments

  • 9 albiongate // Mar 31, 2010 at 5:53 pm

    Add Dragicevich to the list. His parents are both born in Serbia and he already owns dual serbian and US citizenship. He only has to make do his serbian passport at the consulate of Serbia in Chicago, which is a matter of time.

  • 10 Christophe // Mar 31, 2010 at 5:55 pm

    @albiongate
    done

  • 11 albiongate // Mar 31, 2010 at 6:03 pm

    Add serbian High School freshman Milos Kostic (1994, Bishop Noll) to the list.

    “Northwestern already likes what it has seen and has offered Kostic a scholarship.”

    http://www.cwossabasketball.com/

    Stefan Jankovic (F, 210, 1993) is gaining recruiting attention from several high major college basketball programs. West Virginia University (Final 4 2010) is particulary interested.

    The University of Illinois is higly interested by Frank Kaminsky (C, 209, 1993, Benet Academy HS). is the new ncaa rule about foreign players official? the one that they can still play on a professional team if they did not make any money. can you please post some links about the rule etc.?

  • 24 Christophe // May 28, 2010 at 6:31 am

    @interested person
    maybe this helps you http://www.europeanprospects.com/general-comments/no-more-suspensions-for-european-college-recruits/

  • 25 euroballer // May 29, 2010 at 3:07 am

    @christophe
    Do you know how the ncaa finds out if the player actually made money? the team mangement could just lie to keep him there for example…

  • 26 Christophe // May 29, 2010 at 10:56 am

    @euroballer
    If a player made money, he has normally a contract with the team. So if the team says, he made money, they should be able to proof it with a contract.
