  • 9 juan cobos // Dec 10, 2010 at 1:14 am

    Btw, I’ve realized you didn’t notice there are a few romanian kids who’ve moved to the US to play in a high school on order to gain attention from US colleges.

    Vlad Popovici (’94, last summer 22p-13’6r with the U16) is playing at West Oaks Academy in Florida with fellow countryman Victor Paun (’94 and 7’9p-5’6r with the U16) on a scholarship funded by the romanian federation.

    Alexandru Olaru, (’93, 8’6p, 5’1r with the u18) is playing at Traders Point Christian HS in Indiana.

  • 10 Christophe // Dec 10, 2010 at 6:43 pm

    @Juan
    Popovici is back in Romania already. He played with Politehnica Iasi (Div.A) in December.

    for the two others, thanks for putting the name here even if the 3rd is named Alexandru Olah

  • 11 Christophe // Dec 10, 2010 at 6:45 pm

    In fact, Olah plays at the same school than Luka Zivkovic

  • 12 Christophe // Dec 10, 2010 at 6:51 pm

    Some info on both of them being recruited

  • 13 juan cobos // Dec 10, 2010 at 6:58 pm

    I don’t know how I misspelled it, haha.

    I didn’t know about Popovici back, but he was the one putting up better number with the NT, which made me thought he could even make it to a major school.

  • 14 juan cobos // Dec 12, 2010 at 10:01 pm

    Alexander Vasiljevic, 6’7” PF, class of ’11. From Belgrade.
