Türk Telekom Tournament: the coaches choices

February 24th, 2008 · No Comments

The excellent official website of the tournament features interviews with some of the coaches of the different U16 National teams and some of them gave the names of the players they wanted to mention as the best potential.

Starting with the Greek coach Nikolaos Toufas, here is what he thinks

The performance of few players is very good, especially Enes Kanter from Turkish team, Alessandro Gentile from Italy, Jure Besedic from Slovenia, Andrey Loginov from Russia and our player Linos Chrysikopoulos.

For the Bulgarian coach Yanko Vantchev, the main prospects are the following.

I like the player Enes Kanter from Turkish team very much. From our team, I would like to mention our players Planimir Dafinov and Pavlin Ivanov who are playing a very good tournament . Also Alessandro Gentile from Italian team and Alexander Varnakov from Russian team have had very good performances too.

For Dejan Mihevc from Slovenia, there was just one player to mention.

The Turkish player Enes Kanter is the most attractive player of the tournament.

France coach Tahar Liegon-Assed came up with some other names to mention.

Due to the fact that I only had the opportunity to follow Group A games until now, I did not have the chance to see the players of the B group. I like Kacper Mlynarski from Poland, Pavlin Ivanov from the Bulgarian Team, Kevin Bright from Germany and Anastasios Antonakis out of Greece.

For the German coach Alex Krüger, the names to follow in the future are the following:

Besids Turkish player Enes Kanter, Pavlin Ivanov from Bulgaria, Habul Husuija from Croatia, Leo Westermann of the French team, Giorgos Mavrogiannis from Greece, Mateusz Dsiemba from Poland, Alessandro Gentile from Italy and Kevin Bright from our German team had very attractive performances.

Antonio Bocchino from Italy came up with the names of these kids.

I can say that the performance of the Turkish player Yigitcan Vardal as well as my player Alessandro Gentile and Filip Najev from Croatia are really good and playing a very successful tournament.

For former legend Sergey Panov, the names to memorize are

I would like to mention the good performances of Alessandro Gentile from Italy, Matej Lunzar from Slovenia and of course Enes Kanter from Turkey.

Finally Georgian coach Gela Tsuldaze was very short and clear.

Beside the Turkish players Enes Kanter and Kevin Kaspar, the Italian Allesandro Gentile is a very attractive player.
