Today’s picks (live from Berlin)

May 3rd, 2009 · No Comments

The Nike International Junior Tournament has come to an end this afternoon and saw FMP Belgrade win it after a big Final against Lietuvos Rytas.

  • Tournament MVP Dejan Musli was impressive in the paint with 31 points, 17 rebounds and 3 blocked shots. He was nearly unstoppable and always used the dishes of his team mates to perfection with massive dunks. And it was the young Nenad Miljenovic, who turned only 16 in April who was the master in the drives to create the necessary space for the Serbian big. For the Lithuanians, Jonas Valanciunas did what he could to stop the Serbian power in paint but it was not enough.
  • Here are the video reviews from yesterday’s games. We start with ALBA Berlin versus Unicaja Malaga
  • FMP Belgrade – Montepaschi Siena
  • Hemofarm Vrsac – Olimpija Ljubljana
  • Lietuvos Rytas – Caja de Canarias Gran Canaria
  • A full coverage of the tournament with scouting of the main players will follow during the next days here on the website
