After the NIJT, I had the possibility to attend the Serbian derby between Crvena Zvezda and Partizan Belgrade in the legendary Hala Pionir. Zvezda is currently (once again) in big trouble and last in the standings of the Adriatic League. So everybody expected a blow out victory for Partizan but the game was closer than expected which was also the result of a very good performance of Nemanja Nedovic. Let’s check the details.

This morning started the third Nike International Junior Tournament Qualification event in Belgrade. Eight teams compete for one spot in the Final 8 that will be played in Barcelona in May. This Friday starts the probably strongest of the three Qualification tournaments on the road to Barcelona Nike International Junior Tournament. In the Serbian capital, 8 teams from around Europe compete for an additional spot in the Final tournament in May. Even if the organizers did not invite the current Serbian forces Mega Vizura and Hemofarm, the participating teams look very interesting with two clear-cut favorites for the Final on Sunday.
