This week, the Euroleague season 2012/13 will start but the excitement for talent scouts remains a bit limited as the number of interesting prospects has gone down. The most talented players are not yet ready for being a major factor in the Euroleague so that the number of NBA Draft picks coming from the Euroleague this season might remain small. We have chosen nevertheless five players that are worth to follow, hence not really for NBA Draft aficionados. However, our wildcard does not go to a specific player this time, so enjoy.

Please not that I could not scout the teams of Turkey, Slovenia, Greece and Ukraine which explains why no players from these nations will be in the reports. Dario Saric, the title winning machine

Dario Saric earned the MVP trophy of the U18 European Championship in Vilnius on Sunday after winning the Gold Medal as well. These were two more awards for the already richly decorated young man (U16 Gold in 2010, NIJT 2011) from Croatia who once again showed that he is among the most dominant youth players ever in Europe over the last years.

U18 European Championship 2012: the Final

The last day of the U18 European Championship, but also the last day of the summer season with the different National Team events, saw Lithuania facing Croatia in a final match-up of the Scouting Period 2011/2012. The games did not only decide who will win Medals but also who is the last qualified nation from Europe for the U19 World Championship 2013 to be held in the Czech Republic.
