Besides the Hospitalet Tournament, there have been some other important Youth basketball meetings this weekend. Here you will find information about three of them.

The first tournament has been the Torneo Citta’ di Roma for 1989 born and younger players. The Final has been won by Partizan Belgrade with nice scoring efforts of 1989 born Power Forward Stevan Jelovac who was the MVP of the game. A notable performance during the tournament came from Nemanja Jaramaz, the 195 tall guard from Serbia, who is a 2007 NBA Basketball without Borders participant. His 11ppg are even more interesting when you consider that he is only born in 1991 and so 2 years younger than most of the players. The second finalist, Benetton Treviso was led by 32pts of their guard Federico Loschi. More on the tournament can be found here.

The Sarajevo International Youth Festival has been won by Alba Berlin who beat in the Final their German counterparts Ulm 49-22. The third place went to the host of Playoff Sarajevo who beat the Austrian U16 National after overtime.

The Baltic Sea Basketball Cup for U18 and U16 teams has been held in Talinn this year. The tournament in the U18 category has been won by Latvia this year behind good efforts of Krister Zeidaks. Krister Zeidaks was the best rebounder of the tournament with 10rpg and also fourth best scorer of the whole tournament. The topscorer was Sasu Salin from Finland with 17.25ppg. In the U16 category, Latvia remained also unbeaten behind top scorer and top rebounder Edmunds Dukulis.
