The organization team of the Cholet Mondial Basket Tournament has announced the dates and participants of the 28th edition that will be played this year for U18 Club Teams.The tournament dates will be on the Easter weekend from the 10th to 13th April 2009 in Cholet.
So far, the following teams have confirmed their presence for the 4 day long event in Western France.
From France, there will be Cholet Basket, Élan Béarnais Pau Nord Est, ASVEL Lyon Villeurbanne and Entente Orléanaise Loiret. Serbia will be represented by KK Zemun Lasta and KK Zitko. Other participants are BCM Ostrava from the Czech Republic, Vilnius Basketball School from Lithuania, KK Split from Croatia, Rome from Italy and especially Real Madrid and their rising star Nikola Mirotic from Spain. Additionally, Elite Basket-Ball Organisation from the United States will also play in Cholet but no names of the team’s roster have been published so far.
UPDATE (7th March 2009): KK Zemun will not participate due to extrasportive reasons, the team from Rome will be Stella Azzurra Roma.
UPDATE (6th April 2009): Hyères-Toulon will replace the Elite Reebok Team from the USA. BC Torrejon (Spain) replaces KK Split. BC Sant Cugat replaces KK Zemun
