Albert Schweitzer Turnier 2008

End of March is coming which means that the Albert Schweitzer Tournament is approaching. Today, the German basketball federation published some important details about the group stage as well as ticket information.

The four groups have been drawn and here are the results.

GROUP A

Turkey, Germany, Sweden, South Africa

GROUP B

Spain, Argentina, Croatia, New Zealand

GROUP C

Russia, Italy,  Australia, Canada

GROUP D

USA, Greece, France, Israel

As you can see, you have some very tough groups except maybe Group A and the level will probably huge. All the games will be played in the MWS Gym in Herzogenried or in the US Sports Arena in Mannheim-Käfertal. The finals will be played on Saturday 29th March in the US Sports Arena from 9 o’clock in the morning. This year will also be the 50th anniversary of the tournament that is considered as the unofficial U18 World Championship.

    What will be the french roster ???

    no rosters so far. It will be the 1990 generation for France, so probably a lot of the actual INSEP guys
