Next to the four European teams that have reached the quarter-finals, I will take a quick look at the other participants to the U17 World Championship 2010. As Spain did not qualify for the last 8, I did not really have the opportunity to scout them so that they ended up in this review only.

The German U17 National Team came with the ambitions to reach the Quarter-Finals in Hamburg. This goal was reached but somehow, the team of coach Menz disappeared a bit after their elimination on Friday and could not build on their excellent showing from the Albert-Schweitzer Tournament in spring.

Today have been played the Quarter-Finals of the first ever U17 World Championship in Hamburg. In front of about 20 College and NBA scouts, 4 teams qualified for the semi-finals to be played on Saturday. The first two games featured only non-European teams, so let’s go for a review of their respective quarter-finals.
