BallSide: a new tool for Coaches and Scouts

February 8th, 2010 · 1 Comment

Today, I want to present a truly innovating service to follow Youth Basketball in Europe. A German development team has created BallSide, a basketball team and statistics community and management website dedicated in particular to Youth Basketball. The goal of BallSide is the publication of statistics normally not available to the mass media as they don’t follow smaller leagues or youth championships.

The first targeted audience are Basketball coaches of Youth teams throughout the world. The BallSide website offers excellent Team Management functions and statistical analysis tools for their own team(s). As you coach using BallSide, you can focus on the practice itself and use the limited time you got with your team in a better way leaving all the "organizational" stuff to the website platform. Additionally, the tool is not only free for use to coaches, but you can even earn money from BallSide by publishing the statistics of your team. That way BallSide wants to support committed and motivated youth coaches.

For Scouts or Agents, BallSide is an additional tool in order to find the player you are looking for. You can have a statistical follow-up of the Youth players you are scouting, interact with the coaches, the players and even the fans. It is a unique possibility to compare what the U16 National Team player that you saw during a tournament a few weeks ago is doing in his regular club team.

Also fans and family members can use BallSide in order to follow the results and statistics of their favorite team or player, support them or upload pictures and videos.

Do not hesitate to contact the owners of BallSide (manuel[at], they are very helpful in order to understand how their multi-language (English, German, Spanish, French and Greek) tool is working. If you are seriously interested in their tool, they can explain you how it works through a guided Video Tour.
