Torneo Pasqua Barocca: Spain

During the Easter weekend, the Pasqua Barocca Tournament has been played in Italy with four U16 National Teams competing. Our friend Danny Mills has followed the tournament and has sent us several scouting reports on the players that he liked the most. Dario Saric earns the NIJT Trophy with a Triple-double

The Croats from KK Zagreb won the Nike International Junior Tournament 2011 behind a great performance of their star trio during the days in Barcelona. Built around a core of three very different players and a key workhorse in the paint, Zagreb has only limited support coming from the bench but it was enough to overcome a more team-oriented Lithuanian team in the Finals. So let’s check the head of their trident of talent, the amazing Dario Saric.

Nike International Junior Tournament Day 3 (live from Barcelona)

The third day of the NIJT in Barcelona was filled with individual brilliance of some players and the confirmation of some of the hottest names of the last months. With KK Zagreb and Zalgiris Kaunas reaching the final, clearly the two best teams will fight tomorrow for the crown as both emerged as the most stacked with prospects from an individual point of view or an above average team play in a tournament that is not on an outstanding level though because of the absence of several key players.

Nike International Junior Tournament Preview

The 9th edition of the Nike International Junior Tournament will be played from Thursday to Sunday at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona. The Euroleague has assembled two groups of four teams that compete in order to follow up on the first French victory which INSEP reached last year at home in Paris. Joffrey Lauvergne, a nice future for France on PF

Tonight, in front of an half empty arena in Nancy, the locals of SLUC Nancy faced Chalon in the semi-final of the French Cup. The guests managed to beat the former Korac Cup winner in a game that was not one a great level, especially in the second half. However, this gave me the opportunity to scout the talented French power forward Joffrey Lauvergne who has played quite an interesting season so far. Additionally, Nicolas Lang is also a member of the team from Chalon, so I got two interesting prospects in one game.
