Urspring goes USA (1st win in the Arby’s Classic)

Yesterday, Ursrping Academy started their second tournament of this year’s High School Tour to the United States at the popular Arby’s Classic. In the opening game, the German team had to play without their top scorer
Christian Standhardinger and 1991 born Forward
Justin Raffington who both were out because of illness.
However, the team of coach Felix Czerny managed to beat the Greenville Green Devils with a final score of 40-32 (The games are played in 4*8 minutes). The first half was dominated by the Germans as they only allowed 7 points to the Greenville team and they could even go ahead with about 20 points during the game. On the other hand, a tremendous run by Point Guard Tremaine Gash who scored 15 in a row brought the US boys back into the game and made the whole result look a lot closer than the game was.
The team has to adapt quickly as already tonight, they will play in the Quarter Finals against Dorsey HS from Los Angeles and it is not sure if both missing players will be able to compete. Without them, 2m05 Center Maik Zirbes, who is playing with Urspring on this trip but is a member of Trier Basketball was the top scorer of the team with 13pts, 7rebs and 3blks.
